Neurofibromatosis
Clinic
The Neurofibromatosis Clinic is a multidisciplinary
clinic which is a joint effort of the Department of Molecular & Human
Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine and the Texas Children's
Hospital.
Patients in the Neurofibromatosis Clinic are
seen by physicians in the subspecialities of Genetics, Ophthalmology,
Dermatology, Neurology, and Neurosurgery. Patients are seen
by the necessary subspecialist regarding any change in status
and then referred on to a particular subspecialist for additional
treatment as required.
Patients with a diagnosis of Neurofibromatosis
I, Neurofibromatosis II, Von Hippel Lindau, and Tuberous
Sclerosis are all followed in the Neurofibromatosis Clinic.
Case management and ongoing counseling are provided as well
as new information concerning advances in treatment and testing
