Orientation 2008 kicks off new year
New students build relationships at the orientation retreat. See the complete orientation slide show.
The Orientation Retreat at BCM is designed to strengthen relationships, enhance communication and promote team work. Held at the Retreat at Artesian Lakes in East Texas, the two-day event in July combines structured events along with informal get-togethers for incoming first-year medical students.
Activities include group problem-solving challenges, a host of free time activities and an evening of improvisational skits focusing on group creativity and fun. The retreat also serves as an introduction to the culture and community at BCM and gives first-year students a chance to mix with upperclassmen.
